Wildeknight's the best suggestion so far, though it does conjure up visions of wild magic sorcerers.

Which admittedly was one of my favourite classes in 5e.

Now considering the Faerie King as both The Lady of The Lake for the Crusader class AND as a patron for Warlocks.

I think that's kind'a fun, we paint her as somewhat benevolent empowerer of these H/Bimbo knights, but she's also taking people under her spell and warping their minds.

Insidious.

Ooh I like Herald, might consider it.

Just to clarify, the Faerie King would be the patron of the hypothetical Crusader class. If you wanna be a Crusader, you're workin' for the Faerie King.

So, kind'a like the current Warlock sub-class, except you're opting in, rather than getting it accidentally.

Yeah you still choose to become a Warlock when you're near death, and roll one randomly.

There's also now an expensive Blood Magic spell that summons one of your choice to become a Warlock.

I mean the other option is having another lady in a different lake.

I do quite like the narrative implications of Crusaders being at odds with the Paladins (the grumpy substitute teachers trying to get people to behave) and the Clerics (the demigod fandom merchandise collectors).

Either / or, the main aspect is using Charm instead of Brawn to attack.
November 13, 2025 at 6:37 PM
Well the Faerie King warlocks would have to be replaced with something else if they became a class unto themselves.
November 13, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Paladins are akin to angry substitute teachers in V&V. They're the Heavy Armour + Smarts class.

From Hammen-Toil it's a bit of a schlep, I'd recommend taking a Krakenship to Doylem and going north through Half-Dwarf country.

Avoids most of the dragons, giants, goblins and humans.

Well it’d be a bimbofication knight class in this case, rather than a chance roll.

Something you can choose to be, rather than might get.
November 13, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Other than the fact that everyone can use Charm in combat to deescalate situations and whatnot. Plus there’s a few Martial Skills that use Charm like “Flash the Goods” and “Quick Smooch”.
November 13, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Currently only Dancers use Charm in combat, Bards use it to increase their proficiency, so I think a Heavy Armour Charm class to counter-balance the skimpy Dancers is a good idea.

It's a Satyr.

Bard, Blood Mage, Cleric, Dancer, Druid, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Thief, Wizard, Warlock.

Feels like I need another heavy armour class but I can't think of one.

Yes?

Contrary to popular belief Rangers wear bright, colourful cloaks, to avoid being shot by the other weirdos that live in the forest.
November 11, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Bojack Horseman did that really well with their "one fuck a season" rule.

Always thought the level of irony was quite obvious but I'll try to make it less subtle.
