Hellblazer was the first comic that truly grabbed me. I just love those issues with John Ridgway art written by the amazing @jamiedelano.bsky.social Here’s my actual collection now as custom hardcovers by year, bound by Spink & Thackray in Leeds.

We’ve talked about Mr. Seagle’s amazing work many times on the podcast. Please give if you’re able.
Steven T. Seagle, my BFF in comix since 1988, and his family have lost their home in the devastating LA fire. Steve is one of the true innovators of Vertigo; an amazing writer, mentor, and an all-star human being.

Preacher #8. Written by Garth Ennis, drawn by Steve Dillon (RIP), and colored by me. Vertigo. 1996. This is a color guide, and is how most comics were colored then. We'd paint on photocopies, and write the CMYK codes for a separator who'd try to replicate this on a computer. Dyes & gouache.
