I am a doctoral student at University of Eastern Finland 🇫🇮 fascinated by microbiome and 🧠 bidirectional communication.
My main focus is currently the nasal microbiome and Alzheimer’s disease and the role of metabolome.
EMBO course - Microbial metagenomics: 360 approach

When I added Heidelberg to my vision board at the start of 2025, I was really not convinced that this dream can come true 🥹🤩

I cannot keep only for myself, how great (and intense!) the course was 👩🏻‍🔬💻🧬 thank you!

P.S.: if you happen to visit Amsterdam, Micropia (the first and ONLY microbes museum in the world) is a MUST! 🦠🩷 (you can guess where I spent the majority of my day off…is there any better indication where my passion is?👀🤭)

The day 2 of #NMetC2024 started with an excellent keynote lecture: Host-microbiome co-metabolism in health and disease given by prof. @jingyuan_fu

Is there any better way how to start the day than with the ultimately favourite topic? 🤩🦠🧫

#NMetC2024 day 1 🤩
Getting to know more about metabolomics 👩🏻‍🔬 in beautiful Turku.

Where else to celebrate my 4years anniversary since moving to 🇫🇮 than in Turku, where it all started 7 years ago. So happy being here.

"One study found that 73% of people’s vivid memories were either first-time experiences or unique events."
