I am a doctoral student at University of Eastern Finland 🇫🇮 fascinated by microbiome and 🧠 bidirectional communication.
My main focus is currently the nasal microbiome and Alzheimer’s disease and the role of metabolome.
I truly cannot recommend this enough!

For me, NSAS 2024 marked a turning point - before San Servolo..and after 🤩

It’s experience unlike any other, something you simply won’t find anywhere else. I promise.🤗🦠🧠
The Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies on "Microbiota Regulation of Brain Function and Disease" will take place next May in wonderful Venice.

Limited places, they always fill fast.. All levels welcome from PhD student to Full Professor #NSASMicrobiota2026

Best practices and tools in R and Python for statistical processing and visualization of lipidomics and metabolomics data - Nature Communications
Mass spectrometry-based lipidomics and metabolomics generate large, complex datasets requiring effective analysis. Here, authors review key statistical and visualization methods alongside widely used R and Python tools, and provide a GitBook with step-by-step code for accessible, reproducible data analysis.

Why would anyone want to be a scientist? There are the pleasures of:
1. Having the initial idea or insight,
2. Watching the idea develop into new experiments or a new model, and
3. Telling others.

Impressive work! It would be fantastic to see this approach extended to normal-weight PCOS sufferers as well, considering they represent about a third of all patients.
Proud to once again be featured on the cover of @natmed.nature.com! Huge thanks to @mattiaskarlen.bsky.social

This paper highlights the potential (and importance) of diet🥗, especially in the recovery phase.
It would be really interesting to check this on a humanized mouse model, or mice fed with RC → WD or RC → WD post Abx (without FMT)🤔

EMBO course - Microbial metagenomics: 360 approach

When I added Heidelberg to my vision board at the start of 2025, I was really not convinced that this dream can come true 🥹🤩

I cannot keep only for myself, how great (and intense!) the course was 👩🏻‍🔬💻🧬 thank you!
