The Senate Democrats who want to end the shutdown are justifying it because of the hardship being inflicted on the American people. They'll trade temporary relief for major critical harm as ACA subsidies expire. They're throwing out any leverage they have to continually lose ground on progress.

I didn't know we had 40 Billion to give to Argentina. Medicaid, Medicare? Too expensive. The VA? Too expensive. USAID? Nope. Perhaps those in charge are following their predecessors in setting up a safe place for escape should their position become untenable...

If every program that benefits the average person is considered wasteful, then what do our taxes go towards? Filling billionaire coffers and funding the organs of State that keep us in line? We pay our masters and jail keepers? Why would we do that?

Even if there are fraudulent VA claims, I believe the VA should be funded in full. Not out of blind patriotism, but because the American public needs to know that wars are expensive. We pay for them decades after. May be a good reason to not deploy or have a large standing army.

Washington Post is pushing the Project 2025 agenda by making Veterans the next "Welfare Queen" myth. Cherry picking and other logical fallacies present Veterans as defrauding the public. Constantly writing that claims "exploded" after 2001. Gee...what else happened after 2001 involving the Military?

Pushing Project 2025's agenda. Cherrypicking the exceptions, downplaying serious ailments. Veterans claim "hay fever" in connection with burn pits. There will be widespread cancer because of this exposure. The government doesn't want to pay for treatment. This trash is a disservice to Veterans.

In order to score culture war points, RFK Jr has set Americans up to die from possibly preventable diseases. mRNA vaccines are the future of medicine. He cut 500 million dollars and 22 projects so the GOP can give billionaires a tax break. #EATTHERICH

Redistricting should fall to a neutral organization with the goal of ensuring that representation is accurate and equitable. The districts of a state should reflect the people's will. Any Gerrymandering should be viewed as inherently un-American.

Gerrymandering of any kind is a rejection of democracy and the foundations of the American Republic. Left or right, everyone deserves fair representation. Texas' move to eliminate representation for people who disagree with the ruling party is the act of a dictatorship.

If Conservative policies are so popular, then why do they feel they have to rig future elections? Can't they win on their merits? Asking for Texans...

Israel has murdered over ten times the number of OCT 7 victims in Palestinian children alone. Many more will starve to death in the coming weeks.

There is a billion dollars for a bribe plane and a golden ballroom for one old man, but not a penny for public broadcasting that has benefitted multiple generations of my family. What are the rich, except for malicious parasites?

Further proof that they knowingly sold the American people out. This sick liar saw how many millions would be cast out from Medicaid protection, voted for it, and found a way to profit. He's a deviant, a ghoul. He saw 483,868 vulnerable people in his state, and profited off their suffering.

The GOP who just passed the "Big Beautiful Bill" are not worried about the 2026 elections. The next target for Project 2025 is our elections process. End early voting, purging voter registration, end mail-in voting, and basically just finding a way to guarantee that the GOP rules forever.
July 4, 2025 at 11:39 PM
The GOP just made their play, the one they've been building towards for decades. Everything we have is going to go to the rich. You arent an American if you arent rich. You dont count. You mean nothing to the United States. This whole country is a sham.

They are so proud of the shitty conditions of their concentration camp down in Florida. Please remember that this camp will be filled exclusively with people
Attending immigration court hearings, graduating high school, and working at a job. Do they deserve to be treated like this?

George Carlin was never more right, especially after the Big Beautiful Bill. They dont care about you. It's all for the wealthy. It's a class war and we're losing.

ICE now has a budget almost 3 times what the USMC has. They're paying for it by stripping people of Healthcare. The people who voted for this are truly cursed.
July 1, 2025 at 11:38 PM
With all this new funding, ICE is well on it's way to becoming Trump's little SS. Reichsführer Noem must be so thrilled. No wonder she didnt feel like explaining her inability to manage a budget or read the Constitution. Now she gets to treat every American with same dignity she gave her dog.

It's funny when the wealthy in America threaten to leave over increasing taxes. If they do contribute something necessary, someone will fill that niche in our society. Somebody who can live with the tax rate. The wealthy overestimate how much anyone really needs them.

Justice Barrett suggested to Justice Jackson that "everyone, from the President on down, is bound by law." Kinda ironic, because ACB helped to free the President from any legal restrictions. The "Imperial Judiciary" wouldn't be necessary if she didn't help create an "Imperial Executive".

Anyone who doesnt support corporate welfare at the expense of social programs is a communist, according to Rep. Ogles. And the only way he can communicate that is with racist AI slop. Maybe the people should be thinking about Socialism, it would do more for them than an Oligarchy.

I think the VA should, if anything, get more money. It needs to be a constant reminder to Americans of the cost of war. Their pocketbook seems to be the only thing they listen to.
