Male Ashkenazi Haplogroup de Vere Hunt (J-FTA84824), Ireland, Russian Courland Caribbean, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec
Best by far Actually, it &FTDNA has it all. Ancestry's 2024 was a fiasco - response even worse. Breton (makes sense)/Dutch 12% comes from 1000-1300 with close ties with Westphalia&Franconia et al and mixed logically with Denmark, Germany and Sweden and nobly internalized until we left 1853.

We are lucky that his gf’s sarcophagus was found and reasonably repaired and resting in the Ducal vault at Rundāle (where BBC shot War and Peace) because many others impacted by both Bolsheviks and Nazis

With Burke’s and Starke Adels, these 2 sets were my surprise “ Bermuda Triangle” resolvers with sources since 1650 found or about over 20 countries aka how I found Irish ancestors by going all the way to the Kremlin, through Europe, Caribbean&back…not only fam hist but missing general history

2 sets of books resolved the "Bermuda Triangle" in my family and general British history and triggered sources which are from or about over 20 different countries in the world since 1700. Any unespected sources that broke your walls?

Bought my first Estonian lit as ancestor von Maydell is a composite character in book 2&3. In a set of DNA matches, he is the only common possibility in the Venn. The book is written premises that Estonian nobility was native but other sources indicate that he married a von Wrangel.

Ready for Christmas. That’s what grandmas and grandchildren do well way in advance. Descendants as important as ancestors sometimes, The grandson bears the de Vere name as does his father and me and generations almost a millennium back

Anglo Irish previous maternal as first/middle names to the Hunt/de Vere (Oxfords) marriage and original Aubrey-England about 1070 CE/history between. Surprises? Heraldic sabotage? Incorrect erasures (Kiernan), markings, omissions. Corrected by over 1000 pages of docs and Big Y. Left for posterity.

My 3rd ggf was an Irish RM and family were state apothecaries and gf, the 1st gov of Apothecaries’ Hall. I believe Charlas was sure of the charge as were most but they lacked forensic detection as today. decision against the plaintiff with costs was evidently greeted with the cheers of all there

Timelines are important. Here we have two people the same age who marry and yet there are two generations between them. Equally. I would love to take a significant decade and track the various impacts world events had for my ancestors in three empires and their colonies
