I'm following some right wing accounts and newsletters, and it's abundantly clear that they view "disobey illegal orders" as a direct attack on the Trump agenda, and yet are utterly blind to the implications of that.

I think it must be a marker of authoritarian regimes that they come to power in part by denigrating the work of government, claiming all of government is inefficient, profligate, self-dealing, biased, and opaque; but when in power, every little trickle of authority gets this gloss of happification.

The fatal flaw in all fascistic regimes is that in denying the full personhood of some, it is inevitable that you deny the full personhood of all. It may take a while, but people, generally, being in fact fully persons, will rebel against this.

Another reason they're against science - the world already learned that this reich supremacy is dogshit. A fundamental of science is building on known truths, which are only overthrown on overwhelming evidence, not merely a confluence of cheating and overwhelming whinging.
