I'm following some right wing accounts and newsletters, and it's abundantly clear that they view "disobey illegal orders" as a direct attack on the Trump agenda, and yet are utterly blind to the implications of that.

You can cut the false piety with a knife, no? Suffocating.

Honestly, if you follow the right wing bubble, it's evident that every answer to every current issue by every Trump official starts with 'the Democrats.'

I guess Kamala won after all. Hmm..

The story about DHS working to buy planes instead of using contractors, has lost an important point in most of the breathless reporting I've seen: the WHY.

This is 💯 anti-transparency. Who is so dead-set on not being accountable other than those who know they are doing ill?

It can't have been intentional, but I enjoy seeing the Gemini icon on Google Chrome as really a very nicely drawn sphincter.

Half your SNAP benefit will just about cover the increase in your market basket cost since September.

One thing I believe: Everyone pretty much is capable of whatever they want to put their mind to (until life happens). That’s how great the human mind is.

That's why it's disgusting to see the tech bubble around 'make machines as great as humans' allied with the supremacist 'some humans are less.'

Tell me true - a MAGA 'strategist' actually convinced Vought/Trump/Miller that with the reach of RW media they would be able to assure their base on SNAP that they're being shafted by the Democrats, and... what? The administration and Congress are powerless before the almighty Lefties?

Do go on...

I guess all my red-cap (pill?) dudes agree with living in a country where the national law is determined moment-to-moment by the chief executive's bowel movements and sugar crashes. Cool, cool...

Confidence generally, and personal confidence in particular, is overrated.

Having no doubt in your own correctness should be disqualifying in many fields, rather than a badge of excellence.

I think it must be a marker of authoritarian regimes that they come to power in part by denigrating the work of government, claiming all of government is inefficient, profligate, self-dealing, biased, and opaque; but when in power, every little trickle of authority gets this gloss of happification.

Whenever someone touts AI as containing 'the sum total of human knowledge' I'm like, NO. And also, even if that were true, the sum total of human knowledge is but an infinitesimal fraction of the sum total of all possible knowledge, so sit down while the rest of get on with it.

The fatal flaw in all fascistic regimes is that in denying the full personhood of some, it is inevitable that you deny the full personhood of all. It may take a while, but people, generally, being in fact fully persons, will rebel against this.

The decision to kill other people's infants is a personal one.
CDC ordered staff this week not to release their experts’ assessment that found the risk of catching measles is high in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lagging.

“The decision to vaccinate is a personal one,” a spokesperson said, echoing a line from a recent editorial RFK Jr. wrote

It's quite funny and also quite sad to think there are preppers out there actively cheering on this administration in the specific hope that the shit will hit the fan, thinking that they would be unaffected.

Another reason they're against science - the world already learned that this reich supremacy is dogshit. A fundamental of science is building on known truths, which are only overthrown on overwhelming evidence, not merely a confluence of cheating and overwhelming whinging.

rump did actually stop any war, it was only because the combatants laid their weapons aside in awe and wonderment to watch the United States implode into irrelevancy.
