2017, by my own curiosity, but dropped it because it was confusing (and the free trial wasn't infinite at the time.)
2020, a (now former) friend pings me asking if I wanted to play FFXIV; told them, "sure, still have my old account so I'll resub and join." Never looked back since then.

Having a pretty good time in Mecha Break. Played the playtests and now official release. Will probably become a thread of replays I have from both playtests and offical release.

This random NPC that showed up for one cutscene in the Light-Heavyweight questline of the Arcadion. I ended up giving him his own lore, backstory, role with the group upon joining, and even a name (which will be replaced at some point as its too on the nose on his inspirations).

Hung out with an old friend of mine and he let me take his old pc, free of charge. Gutted the old internals and gave it a basic clean out. Now its ready to home my current PC (the one I'm using is a basic home office case).

As a Guardian to Hikari, Venyuri has a scar or two from his duties, some of which he's had before appearing in Eorzea. The worst he's had was losing his right arm during an operation in his realm, which required a prosthetic replacement. Since then, he uses his left hand for melee weapons.
