When AI gets it wrong, who pays the price?

Google’s Gemma AI just learned that lesson the hard way.
After a U.S. senator accused it of spreading false claims, Google had to pull the model.

This isn’t just about tech; it’s about accountability in the AI age.

I am not sure the world needs this many web browsers, all based on Chromium:
Google Chrome,
Microsoft Edge,
Opera,
Brave,
Vivaldi,
DuckDuckGo,
Zoho Ulaa,
Perplexity Comet,
OpenAI Atlas, and
Samsung Internet (latest to come to PC).

Soon, there may be more web browsers than users on the internet.

Started Star Trek in the 90s with TNG episodes. Voyager’s 70,000‑light‑year journey made me a fan. Decades later, I (re)watch for Kirk’s daring, Picard’s calm, and Janeway’s resolve—reminding me that humanity can stumble, learn, and keep moving forward.

What if I told you some scientists are quietly “whispering” to AI, asking for only positive feedback on their research papers? Sounds like science fiction, but it’s happening right now.

Recently, Canva made headlines by allowing candidates to use AI tools like Copilot during technical interviews. At first, this might sound radical. But if you look closer, it is a logical next step. Why should you let candidates use AI in interviews?

From #WordStar in MSDOS to #AmiPro to #MicrosoftWord to "iA Writer", my writing journey has been full of text editor apps. In the last two weeks, I’m enjoying #iAWriter in Windows for focused, distraction-free writing. Here’s my experience:

My search for the perfect writing software (for now)
Writers, whether with a pen or a keyboard, can be creatures of habit. The paper, the pen, the chair, the corner of a room—all matter. For me, it's always been the software. Over the years, I've tried ...

A cyber attack at M&S in the UK, reportedly via social engineering through an outsourced vendor (TCS), has cost over GBP 300 million and will take months to fix.

This is a reminder to biz leaders: securing just your own systems isn’t enough. Every link in your digital chain matters.

Finally wrote about a visit in 2019 to the Tiruchendur Murugan Temple—a sacred Hindu shrine by the sea in South India. Had a rare, peaceful darshan with empty corridors, sea breeze, and scorching sun. Don’t miss the part about the 17th-century Dutch invasion panels.

I wonder why support from most American Big Tech firms behaves the same way? They rarely seem to read the repro steps, screen recordings, or evidence we send. Instead, they respond mechanically with standard FAQ, making me feel I'm debugging their work for them!.

While editing my book, I kept running into cases where LLMs like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, lift from popular sources when asked to "rewrite".
📋Most default to lifting from known good sources over just rewriting the given text.
🔎Ironically, they can spot plagiarism—if prompted separately.

Email accounts today feel like they are mostly for newsletters and automated updates. 📧

Real business conversations—whether with clients, partners, or colleagues—have shifted to Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, and similar platforms.

Is this a generational shift or just the changing nature of work?

The rise of #DeepSeek highlights key truths about #AI:
1️⃣ Ignore hype from moneyed interests,
2️⃣ Foundation models & GPUs don't create a lasting moat,
3️⃣ All LLMs inherent biases from training data,
4️⃣ Don't mistake censorship for model capability,
5️⃣ LLMs understand language; they aren’t encyclopedias.
