"testing" is a horrible word choice and you should be ashamed. They're not even "testing" to see what atrocities they can get away with, they never stopped. There is no caution in an airstrike.

They're just doing it, and have continued to do it. Do better.

My favorite example is the stage play Taro wrote that wasn't at all branded or marketed as connected to Nier, despite its events being mentioned and characters from it appearing in Automata, which was released after the stage show started its run. (And maybe after it ended its run, too?)
