…All of these are techniques that schools actively teach students to identify & use in good writing…

“Set of three”=an ascending tricolon

“Overtly parallel structure”=ring composition & chiasmus

“Impersonal writing”=3rd person perspective, not using “I” in formal non-fiction writing
Stop spreading this garbage about em dashes in ACTUAL EDITED PROSE OH MY GOD.

Plenty of actual human beings know how to type em dashes! We’re called “writers” and “editors” — maybe you’ve heard of us?

Thank you for representing your constituents, upholding your oath, and doing the right thing.

Please build coalitions with those who share your courage and decency. Unless there’s some top secret 5D chess going on (doubtful), your leadership in the house is dangerously wrong about their methods.

If this question is in good faith: Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada.

If it’s not in good faith, I’m uninterested in entertaining an unwillingness to recognize the multi-racial working class coalition that was built (and almost precisely lost to Trump in 2024–I might add) during this campaign.

I agree. We do need someone capable of winning, that can embrace our base, and effectively message. Someone who can run a campaign with higher unanimous approval than any other candidate, democrat or republican. NOT to kneel to those willing to lose our democracy in order to uphold the status quo.

How goddamn depressing and disappointing and frustrating. So all that talk about fighting fascism was just another campaign strategy. I mean it was easy to be cynical and I suspected as much but this is just a breathtaking abdication of their duty to the American people
