So, update: the ER charged my insurance $13,000, and the amount I'm paying is after insurance covered 91%. Apexus are really just vultures that they allow hospitals to do this by exploiting a loophole. All I had was an ultrasound, antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory

So, update: the ER charged my insurance $13,000, and the amount I'm paying is after insurance covered 91%. Apexus are really just vultures that they allow hospitals to do this by exploiting a loophole. All I had was an ultrasound, antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory

Welp. Found out that for an ultrasound, some anti-inflammatories, and an antibiotic, my ER visit is going to cost me $1,100, not including the separate bill for the doctor. All for an infection that I've had recurring each year for the past 4 years, but my doc insisted I go despite it being the same

Mental state finally feels like it's leveling out after almost 6 months working to taper off a medicine. Not fully off, but at half the dose and feel like I can finally think clearly without freaking out almost every day. Phew... I think I'm just gonna sit at this level for a bit and take a breather

I always thought I was doing progressive overload right for weight lifting. But now I don't even count my reps. I just keep lifting until I physically can't push anymore weight, and do that for three sets. Even when I think I can't do anymore, I usually find I have one or two more reps left in me

Tried raiding in Guild Wars 2 for the first time last night and... I actually liked it? It was a much more fun experience than FFXIV raiding, imo. Felt far less like a choreographed dance and more like an actual classic MMO boss fight. The fact that there's not a constant gear treadmill is nice, too

It's... Odd how I've stumbled on this, but a twitch stream that streams sumo wrestling has become my safe place for when days are hard. It's cozy, not super bombastic, and it follows a routine that makes a part of my autistic brain just relax. It's so soothing to wind down to before bed 💜

Can companies not be collective idiots for 5 minutes during an enterprise software rollout and just follow the guidelines set out? I'm having to do additional training now to gain access to a business critical program because my supervisor messed up and told me to deviate from the guidelines
