Prior studies show that #Lysosome proton pump V-ATPase interacts with #ATG16L1, an #autophagy factor, to direct membrane #atg8ylation upon damage. A new study shows the reverse - ATG16L1 inhibits V-ATPase.

Everyone interested in #autophagy knows that #ATG16L1 is an E3 ligase for membrane #atg8ylation sometimes directed by V-ATPase. A new study shows the reverse - that ATG16L1 inhibits V-ATPase.
