i remember getting yelled at on the portland subreddit for saying an internment camps for homeless people was a bad idea. blue state voters have been frothing at the mouth for exactly this policy for years
Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.

i'm just casually wondering if there's a sickness in our hearts that we ignored as it festered and metastasized. if we spent decades or centuries as convenient bedfellows of pointless cruelty and violence and the darkness grew in from the corners of our eyes until it covered them

I believe what many people actually want in their heart of hearts is for the "right" thing to happen without requiring anybody to wield power. But it turns out there is no magic. It's just us.

releasing your movie on netflix is a good way to make sure it withers into obscurity and irrelevance. i didn't even know they released a chicken run sequel in 2023 until i specifically went to check if such a thing existed

congressional democrats are not an opposition party, they see themselves as the junior partner in a coalition government. they are embarrassed at themselves for being unpopular and can't help but concede that, well shucks, voters were probably right to reject them. cowards who stand for nothing.
