This was from one of the early reviews of the piece...to be even mentioned in the same breath as scholars like @robinjames.bsky.social @decmusicology.bsky.social @dandipiero.bsky.social (and robin and Ritchie, both of whom I believe are blueskyless) is an incredible honor that I don't take lightly!

But this isn't the case... a plurality (and near majority) of republicans want higher taxes on both corporations and the rich (and i imagine cross referencing for poorer republicans would increase this gap). Far more symptomatic of dems failures to promote popular policy options

Sartre's Search for a method (both the essay and the expanded book) would be good starting points! In it he attemps to mediated between existentialism as the lived realities of capitalism and Marxism as a heuristic to make sense of mass alienation!
