This is utterly tragic. Young people's brains aren't fully developed and they sometimes make stupid mistakes. This boy did not deserve to die for his stupidity. I'm glad no one else was hurt, but his life is over and his poor family, I can't imagine their pain.

Kirstie Alsopp made a good point on the radio earlier. He's trying to make this about class, but in doing so he's insulting all decent working class men, the majority of whom absolutely do not behave disgustingly.

I'm a middle class woman of a certain age and I've always found him creepy and unpalatable to watch. He could have got through this with his career intact though if he'd accepted he's been inappropriate and made an effort to change. Attacking his victims only confirms his guilt in my mind.

Wow, your work sounds really interesting and yes, I was surprised at how politicised I was by the process of researching it. There is so much injustice and the regulation is woefully inadequate.

Thank you! The title was The Industrial Fatality in Post Robens Britain, 1974-2014. It was a historical and sociological exploration of the modern industrial fatality. Basically people still get killed at work and it shouldn't happen.
