Apparently it was 2020 to 2021 when this was true of the majority of price increases. Of course, those increases were not stepped down, and in 2022 the estimate is closer to 40% but I would say the point still stands

Writing about homelessness without touching on the underlying issues (the rent is too goddamn high, source www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-... ) takes oxygen away from potential solutions to the problem like social housing, rental assistance or rent control.
