She/her & them/ they because clarifying pronouns or choosing your pronouns based on your gender identity should never be a crime.

Only 6-8 Vaquita
porpoise
is a horrendously tiny number that deserves no spin.
Here is where they do belong. Under appreciated in their native environment and viewed as a byproduct of the logging industry, Tasmania Australia.

Time out from busyness. 💚

No mention of a Vaquita Survey yet? It’s a CITES requirement that a survey is conducted annually.

The last 2 years it has been done in May during a lull in fishing season before it gets too hot n hazy.

Two years and 4 months after Sea Shepherd US announced that two ships were replacing their 3 older ships in the Vaquita Refuge, a second vessel will finally arrive . 2 years 4 months. What a let down.

Correction on my last post. Sea Shepherd US’s Bob Barker has continued on to Isla San Jorge near Puerto Penasco. So in vicinity of Vaquita Refuge.

Not headed south again to Isla SanJose.

Please excuse me, my chronic fatigue brain is really frustrating at the moment!

On Sea Shepherd US website, they claim they have ships that patrol Vaquita Refuge 24/7 and that the Bob Barker is in the area assisting the Seahorse. Yet here is the Bob Barker only just heading north to the Vaquita Refuge in the Upper Gulf. It has been in Mazatlan since July last year.

Such lovely colours! My partner’s dog, Niva’s sister is also similar. A bit more white /grey. This is Pip and she’s such a good girl

Sorry for the late photo reply. I kept putting the phone on charge every time I came up here.

A bit scruffy as poles and exclusion wire is from the top. The plastic or corflute reveg cages get too humid here, cooking the little ones.

I have had this area about a year since the boundary survey.

I’m really at the point where I don’t even want to engage with right wing disinformation from family & friends.

In any game you don’t huddle at half time with the opposing team.

Thankyou Bluesky for creating space for huddling. I’ve been liking & lurking here mostly but really do value u 🩵

Sea Shepherd US just lie to make up for inadequacy under new management from P Singh.

This Bob Barker has never been anywhere near Vaquita Refuge.

Just 2 wks after the 2024 launch of BB & its Gulf of MEXICO campaign, it sailed through Panama Canal & has been docked in Mazatlan, Mexico ever since.

10 yrs ago. South Australia. A most unusual paradise. The furthest mangroves from the equator. An ancient shale dune. Surrounded by a military bomb practice zone.

Feeling melancholic. We live in a beautiful world.

Life with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I made myself a cup of coffee this morning. Really enjoyed it. Got to the end and noticed it was perfectly clear. A moment of confusion. Then realised I hadn’t added any coffee. Just a nice cup of hot water.

A lot of rain today which hasn’t stopped my neighbour mowing the lawn for the last hour.

Raintanks overflowing, creeks running but thinking in this ‘all or nothing world’ It will flood below.

Rainy summer day excuse to just hang out on the verandah and do nothing.

The Bob Barker immediately left Gulf of Mexico, via the Panama Canal and joined Seahorse in Mazatlan mid July.

It then appears Bob Barker’s crane was given to the Seahorse. So when they said Seahorse would have the same crane as Bob Barker, they actually meant the exact same crane, the 1 & only!

This screenshot from Sea Shepherd US State of the Ocean Meeting in Washington DC, shows the new 3t crane on the Bob Barker.

This is the type of crane that the Seahorse will upgrade to, “tripling the capacity” from 1tonne capacity to this 3 tonne capacity.
January 4, 2025 at 3:56 AM
Sea Shepherd US’ December Newsletter announces they are upgrading their Bob Barker crane to the standard on the Seahorse.

Strangely their June announcement was they were upgrading their crane on the Seahorse to match the standard of Bob Barker’s brand new 3t crane.

Sea Shepherd US finally announced in their email newsletter that both the Martin Sheen and the Bob Barker are in port for maintenance and upgrades.

What isn’t said, is that they have already been there for over4 months.

She’s 7 now. 3 in the photo I think.

I also got my boy as a Border Collie x Kelpie from a pet shop in Perth. His siblings were all b&w, 1 a tricolour & Jaka was all orange w a white chest & socks. He has been gone for a few years now but was my everything!!

I think Huntaway started with Border Collie and the farmers liked the dogs that barked to move the sheep on from a distance. So they added anything, German Shepherd, lab, hounds, Rottweiler.. crazy mix! Niva has webbed feet so I think she has cavalier spaniel perhaps. She’s very little. A local gal!

Misty days are my favourite. From the bottom of the mountain it looks like a miserable place to live but from up here it looks like this 💚

Just down the road from me, a landslide washed the road verge away and falls away a 100m or so into a newly formed spring-fed creek.

The Traffic Hazard sign has been there over 2 years.

Finally sectioned off now but took it 2 days and 2 phone calls.
