I’ve been back in my home base city for a few days now and I forgot how much lighter of a mental load it is knowing exactly where to go for everything, easy places to sleep, not needing GPS. It’s a lot easier…just not as fun 😄

I heard Sedona isn’t the most van friendly and thought it was an exaggeration but I kinda agree, it’s not the best. I was also surprised I couldn’t bring my dogs into the state park at all even if they stayed in my van.

Regardless, got in some good hikes outside the park

Don’t ask me how, but I accidentally ended up in line to enter Zion National Park (seriously) but I’m sooo glad I did. It’s stunning! But I’m confused bc I read you HAD to use the shuttle right now but I was able to drive through the whole park? I wasn’t prepared to stop though :/

Went to Mt. Zion only to learn have to use the shuttle which doesn’t work with my dogs. (my bad planning). Decided to pivot to Bryce Canyon only to see highs in the 30’s. Pivoting back to AZ. Some other time, Utah!

At least I had this pretty BLM camp site outside of Mt. Zion

You won’t really know if your van has a good layout until you’ve been living in it. I would have sworn mine was the best but now there are days I want to rip it all out. It takes awhile to learn how you’ll use it and what you need.

Death Valley is exceeding my expectations but the wind yesterday would blow your legs right out from under you. People had to crouch down and got pelted with gravel. But the views were worth it!
