Dr. Elan Ahronovich, Joshua Turner, and Prof. Nabil Simaan have published a paper in the ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics.

Their work explores how twisted wire actuators can enable multi-scale motion for parallel mechanisms.

PhD student James Galletine and Prof. Eric Barth recently published a paper in the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control.

The paper presents a rapidly producible, 3D-printed gerotor pump design for fluidic soft robotics applications.

Earlier this month, VISE hosted a 'hack-a-thon' on the ALISS (Autonomy at a Less Invasive Scale in Surgery) project. ALISS is an award of up to $12 million from ARPA-H seeking to teach a robot to perform surgery autonomously.
