Opportunity was sought for the indulgence of the wildest depravity. The suggestion of religious reflection only excited impious raillery, or blasphemous mockery; and in this polluted state did they remain contaminating and corrupting each other...
The tool.

Am I the only one completely suspicious that @taskmaster.tv has had a "museum heist" episode the same week the Louvre Museum has been done over!?

You beat me to it with truesize; but one of my favourite "take Russia down to its true size" games is move it below the equator to take on the World Heavyweight contender no. 6, Australia.

Turns out, down under that Russia's map-based viagra ego is significantly deflated.

I'm not a big desert guy, but some of you out there might enjoy a bit of "harvest season" themed pastries spotted in South Ken.

Now THAT was a superhero film.

It has been a long time since I have enjoyed a superhero film as much as that. I do not get the critics who didn't enjoy it - joyous, retro, like an old school comic, not overly CGI heavy like most of the Marvel films - DC is back.

The tantalising phraseology on the back blurb of this book at our holiday let, is um, quite something.

Is a "pneumatic blonde" good with tyres?

The journey @exposing40.bsky.social is presumably enjoying right now, as described by the Man in Seat 61.

One of my favourite paintings by Béraud is Avenue Parisienne - the business of the street feels vibrant, alive - and so very identifiably Paris. But my favourite detail is this character, front and centre, who by his dress is certainly a waiter on duty and presumably chasing someone who hasn't paid.

Jean Béraud's (1849-1935) ability to capture small details really brought his paintings of Parisian society in the Belle Époque to life.
Men holding their hats against the wind, the chatter and clinking of crockery in a cafe... The crunch of gravel under foot and hoof on the Champs-Élysées...

The answer is, I don't want to even look at that complicated menu, I want an antique grain muffin with bacon, fried egg and cheese with some ketchup or brown sauce. Oh, and gimme a bloody mary for hairy dog reasons.
