Alright KDrama friends let’s see your checklists. This one skews heavy romance and doesn’t have as many action or political shows.

Find the blank version in the next one.

I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. My personal history with the PS2 would not begin until Christmas 2000. The hype for this machine was so massive. Everyone in my 6th grade class was talking about it. Between my brother and I we had 4 launch games: AC2, Ready 2 Rumble Round 2, SSX, and Tekken Tag

Got my most recent family photo. Still the Saturn, GBA, PSP, US Sega CD… but idk if I have the stomach for that spend. Also kind of want Walking School and Dragon Song just to complete the set.

Let’s go Star Ocean! Completely agree about folks sleeping on the first game. It’s a lot better than it gets credit for. As good as 2, 3, or 6? No but it’s a great game still.

The ray traced pass on the global illumination in Ghost of Yōtei is incredible. Just goes to show even a light (hehehe) touch can do a lot of work.

Ghost of Yōtei has ray tracing and it’s not half bad!

Long day but I’m finally here

Final Fantasy fans! Y’all know that Shirō Hamaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu composed the score for Ah! My Goddess The Movie right?! That was the reason I took the chance on this movie from Suncoast Video nearly 25 years ago. Eventually got into the manga and older OVAs.

Still dreaming 26 years later! I wanted a Dreamcast so bad back on 9/9/99 but dad didn’t trust Sega anymore… totally understandable. But back in 2024 I passed a huge industry exam and finally rewarded myself with the one that got away.

Today marks 30 years of Sony's PlayStation Console in North America. Here's a post I wrote about my first experiences with what would become one of my favorite platforms of all time.

Ran through Alan Wake’s American Nightmare this weekend. Very short lil ditty of a game but it was blast the whole time. Can definitely see the blending of the base game and thematic concepts which transferred to Alan Wake 2. Even feel some of its influence on Quantum Break and Control.

The Universe DNA and cost saving lessons of the RG7620/21 still paying dividends for Ibanez all these years later. Seems like that one is a absolute beast on the budget. Cheers from one 7 player to another!

Hmmmmmm I’ve been here before.

Valkyrie Profile is a game I’ve played 3 times, which is a rare occurrence. Each time getting a different ending. Today I finished out the “True” ending or Ending A. Now on to VP2 which I never finished because I was confused how it connected.

I haven’t touched W&T in two months. Stalled out at 60%.

I’d rather be reading Crossdreams of Twiknife, the eleventy-third book of Times of the Weaving Wheel.

Missed by days but Chrono Trigger is my favorite game of all time. I first played it via the FF Chronicles port from Tose. After that I spent $70 from my hard earned high school job on the original SNES cart. Sadly, it was lost to the winds. I was gifted the JP version by my wife earlier this year.

Started my first 막걸리 (makgeolli) of 2025. In 7-9 days this will get me drunk!

Been awhile since I uploaded a CRT gaming shot.

Star Ocean on the Super Nintendo taken with a Sony A6400 using the venerable Minolta 70-210mm lens aka "The Beercan"

Taken at max zoom f4.0, ISO 800, 1/60 Shutter

Ah if I check licenses and key activations it all shows up:

Do I love this game? It's good but doesn't reach the highs of its predecessor. However the soundtrack slaps and slaps hard. One of the best out there for sure. Sadly I don't have a physical copy for my PlayStation... yet.

Post a screenshot of your first 5 Steam purchases and let Bluesky judge you.

Of course it doesn't show Half-Life and Counter Strike which were imported via CD key in 2003.

Rolled credits on this… replay. Haven’t touched #Yakuza 1 since 2005/6 on PS2. I did some parallel playing with this and the PS2 version. That lasted through chapter 4. 😂

#YakuzaKiwami is a great way to experience the initial story of #龍が如く
