A post on Twitter reminded me of Akinator, so I tried to see if he could guess Akari Kamigishi. I have no idea how he reached these two and not her. My GOAT is washed.

Finished Trails to Azure a little less than a week ago, and I'm still recoiling from how much I loved it. Definitely a game rough around the edges, but I loved how the narrative in its shakes out, flaws and all. Some of the best utilization of world-building I've seen in an RPG.

It's games like this that make me wanna dust off the old scripts I've been sitting on and just... give making a VN a go. It's also a mark for the kind of unique art you get when the author has a unique blend of inspirations. The game's use of silhouettes is genuinely brilliant.

Been thinking about Ooe lately again. Has to be one of the most impressive doujin releases I've ever seen. Not a perfect game, but I have to respect the ambition and how intelligently written it is. I hope even non-fujos give it a try when it's out in English.
