Today feels a lot harder than yesterday, but I made myself walk and built a physically difficult-for-me cat tree. It's just everything I see makes me think of dad. I hope tomorrow will be a bit more gentle on me.

Went on a walk and so many different birds came out in the middle of the day (quiet time). I've never had this park be so vibrant. 🪶

My dad was so old that he was not a boomer but actually a Silent Generation kid. He saw when his dad left for WW2 and when he came back so, so quiet. This is early 1940s.

I'm so serious when I say I feel good about being successful in my position with sparse training, 232 hours on furlough (so far), 356 hours of admin leave, imposter syndrome popping up, and serious chronic pain and other disabilities. My boss said I taught myself well! ♥️

My Sushi Roll has crystalluria and a UTI. She needs special Rx food for the rest of her life now, but this will stop her discomfort and peeing blood. Grateful so, so, so much that it's not something worse than urinary tract crystals.

Tough stuff happening with family and friends and our jobs, but I made one year in my position yesterday. I'm two years of walking each day no matter what today. Even surgery. Even migraines. Even ill. And this little guy, my first grandkid? He turned 8 today and is healthy and loving life!

I spent a good amount of time happy crying Saturday. It's all because the baby with severe cerebellar hypoplasia (wobbly cat syndrome) was chosen first! for her forever home. And her new mom is there to love and spoil her 24/7. Beautiful adoption.
