this is really the big thing with congress, and frequently a problem that plagues those associated with congress (staffers, reporters, etc): how things are different behind closed doors, and the public just doesn't get it.

the lack of trust doesn't come down solely to mcbride herself as one individual. the lack of trust extends to the whole damn system. maybe she is working hard behind closed doors. unfortunately for her, and really for anybody behind those closed doors: we hear that about everything and everyone.
