There have been plenty of alternatives to Twitter since Musk's takeover (Threads, Mastodon, etc.). But why do I see BlueSky as the most promising approach? And how does this tie into why many of us originally fell in love with the World Wide Web?

People are often surprised when I tell them this: both Twitter and Facebook/insta/threads are now specifically engineered to downgrade, hide, suppress real journalism. If this platform is different, that's a huge change
Traffic from Bluesky to @bostonglobe.com is already 3x that of Threads, and we are seeing 4.5x the conversions to paying digital subscribers.

Deutschland braucht drigend mehr Wohnungen. Aber gebaut wird kaum noch. Wegen hoher Zinsen und Baukosten finden Kaufinteressierte und Bauunternehmen beim Preis nur noch selten zusammen. Der Markt bricht weg. In Q2: 80% weniger verkaufte Neubauwohnungen als 2021.
