Following Jesus (an ongoing work), retired nurse, Welsh, in favour of equality
Had a brief conversation with one of the flag bearers. Told him how our hearts go out to them in such suffering. He thanked us saying it is so good to hear they are supported and not forgotten. Its good to show support however small and be in conversation, making connections with people around us.

I see nothing 'uniting the kingdom' about this march! It's divisive and sowing hatred for people we share this isle with BBC News - Thousands gather for Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom rally, and counter protest - BBC News

More than 100,000 people join a rally organised by the far-right activist in London, with a counter-protest by Stand Up To Racism also taking place.

For Christians, as we enter into the Easter narrative, today and tomorrow are full of sadness and despair. We know the end of the story however and know hope is just round the corner. And I hold onto this in troubled times the world over.

Grateful to journalists keeping politicians to account. However whilst I can read the news (where I have easy control about how much) I suspect my current self-imposed ban on watching the news may continue for 4 years (for the sake of my mental health and bp!)

Sending #NHS patients to private care will need good contract negotiations. Also hard to avoid inevitable that private will pick up easy patients leaving more complex to NHS resulting in longer stays and tired staff.
