The national stereotypes are unfortunate, and the premise is of course very goofy. But if you give G Gundam a chance, you'll be rewarded with an surprisingly emotional and engaging story with likeable characters. This will sound strange now, but so far it's the only Gundam series that's made me cry.

I liked but did not love the first season, and thought it didn't quite fulfill its potential. I'm interested to see what they do with a second season! I'll watch the first episode tonight.
