She wants to pretend that the firings that have happened so far were due to the RTO order or people not performing. That is blatantly false. Firing every single probationary employee is not targeting people who don’t want to come to work and neither does eliminating entire departments.

Everything is awful, but please enjoy this pic of my dog trying to make friends with the neighborhood cats that are obsessed with me, and apparently, also her. I came out the front door this morning and both cats came running toward for some pets. They may be the best part of this neighborhood.

Really never felt more demoralized and hopeless about the future of our country than I do right now. Seeing the most patriotic people I knew gladly supporting an autocracy in the making, and waiving their hands at the members of their own family that will suffer the consequences.

I love how Donald Trump has shifted the US climate policy agenda from “we should create fewer carbon emissions and help communities recover after disasters” to “Zuck can burn coal to power his metaverse if it he wants to, and fuck FEMA and the people that need it”.

Still can’t hardly believe she’s gone. It’s been almost 3 months and I still wake up most mornings and expect to find her snuggling me in bed or curled up on the couch.

We had a very exciting morning… my office has French doors out to the back deck and we had a visitor. He came right up to the door to tease the pups… in the middle of my conference call.
