the main villain of mega man x being evil because he got infected by the Evil Virus is such a waste of the "robots having free will" concept and I'm glad the remake changed his backstory

absolutely not the first to say this but i feel like the main reason halo isn't culturally relevant anymore isn't because of a bad game (although that definitely does not help) but because the specific era it was spawned from simply does not exist anymore
