We are the archives of the University of Winnipeg and its founding colleges dating back to 1871.
The frame houses photos from newspapers and other sources detailing the Argonauts' winning the cup, as well as fan celebrations and other odd events during the championship.

Hundreds of students from Wesley College and Manitoba College participated; the service of students and faculty members was recorded in school papers like the Vox Wesleyana and in Rolls of Honour - main.lib.umanitoba.ca/rolls-of-hon....

To stop pests entering collections we do three things. Clean to reduce food and shelter, use environmental controls to make the space inhospitable, and quarantine donations to prevent new pests.

Pests need three things to establish themselves; shelter, environment, and food. In archives your collection can be the food. Animal glues, parchment, wood, and textiles can be directly eaten and damaged.

While a national organization, CWPC maintained a strong presence in Manitoba after the opening of a Winnipeg branch in 1907. Notable members of the branch include; Cora Hind, Francis and Lillian Beynon, Kate Simpson Hayes, and Nellie McClung.

Archival digitizing is about both capturing a record as well as maintaining its legitimacy as a historical record. The process of digitization should documented and auditable in addition to producing a high quality digital record.

Axworthy is well known for his longtime role in politics, including as Minister of Foreign Affairs (1996-2000), and as president of UW (2004-2014).

The late Sharron Proulx-Turner was a Two-Spirt Métis poet and author, an Elder, a Sweatlodge keeper, a Sundancer, a mother, and a Grandmother. Sharron’s children, Barbra Horsefall and Graham Angus will join us to celebrate Sharron’s writing and her contributions to the Two-Spirit community.
