Always good to visit Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley. As more and more people are rely on our food banks to put food on the table, I'll continue to fight at the federal level to get Republican leadership back to the negotiating table to find a bipartisan path to open up the government.

My Prevent Government Shutdowns Act would bring Democrats and Republicans together to guarantee essential federal services for working families. In the meantime, Republican leadership must come to the negotiating table to protect healthcare, restore SNAP, and lower costs for working families.

This Administration says that all options are on the table for offshore drilling along our coasts. At a recent press conference we stood together shoulder-to-shoulder ready and willing to fight back so that we can protect the environment and economy of our Central Coast.

Recent reports of the Administration’s leasing plans for offshore drilling would pierce our protections for our oceans. Together, we must stand together to stand against this Administration as we continue to preserve the protections for our environment, economy, and communities on the Central Coast.
