Just the other day, Brooke Rollins, Trump's Idiot Sec. Of Agriculture (from Texas A&M of course) suggested that people raise chickens in their backyards. Just like Chairman Mao told the peasants to build Mini-Steel Mils in their backyards. Texas A&M and Chairman Mao. Well okay.

Since then, in addition to China's Cultural Revolution, I've thought of the French Revolution (the purge of the Terror), the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia (anti-cosmopolitanism) and Chavez's Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela (elites using populist discourse) as other historical analogies.
