Thank you! It was a fun and easy addition to my collection and makes quite a splash in the spring. I think your wife would enjoy the flowers. 😁

Thank you for your comment and encouraging words. This one started out as a globe-shaped shrub on my patio but was getting out of hand, so I went to work on it last year. Borrowing from Maslow, “If all you have is a [pair of scissors], everything looks like a [bonsai].” 😀

Looks good. When I bring mine in for the winter, I get some leaf drop and yellowing of leaves, similar to yours.

I keep my ficus outside in the summer and inside in the winter. It seems to like being outdoors in the summer. I am north of you on the coast of BC. Thank you for your comment.

Oh no, pressure! Ha ha. I was actually thinking of doing that and will try to post more before and after photos in the future. Thank you for your comment.

Ouch, that hurts. I don’t think I have room in my fridge. It seems that the biggest risk to my trees is my pruning technique.

After loosing the trees, I put my pots and tools in a little box and didn’t open it again until 2020. My trees are from various sources, mostly local nurseries. I am also experimenting with growing from seed and cuttings and would like to try air layering.

Thank you for your comment Joel, and sorry to hear about the fate of your bonsai collection. I had a similar experience with my trees over twenty years ago, except that their demise was a result of an unwanted renovation rather than careless lawn mowing. The end result was similar.
