Prior joining the SBC, Kelsey earned a master’s degree in History from Vrije Universiteit and a master’s degree in Jewish studies from the University of Amsterdam. Her interest lies in the intersection between fashion and the Jewish experience.

Dmitri holds postgraduate degrees in History from the University of the Western Cape and a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town. He has presented at several international conferences, including Lessons & Legacies and the International Network of Genocide Scholars Conference.

The project seeks to understand how the global anti-apartheid movement engaged with Holocaust memory in the broader struggle for freedom, enriching discussions on Holocaust memory in the Global South, multidirectional memory, and memories of mass violence.

The evening will feature the traveling exhibition Fate Unknown: The Search for the Missing after the Holocaust, along with reflections from its co-curators, Dr Christine Schmidt and Prof. Dan Stone.
