Mary is brilliant - creating mind-blowing designs and techniques. 🧶 workshop.
This is exciting! Mary W Martin will be teaching a free virtual workshop for our members on 2-Pass Woven Knitting (www.ravelry.com/bundles/two-...), her VERY clever technique. Members only, but anyone can join us at www.kwkg.ca/join-us/! $40 CAD for membership, cheaper than a lot of workshops 😉

I’m hosting a community roundtable for small businesses this Friday to talk about how we’re all feeling and coping and what we can do to survive and support each other. links.kategilbert.com/widget/form/...

Not sure how many local makers follow us here. Just in case there are, we’re moving! 🎉

The new space has parking, a level entrance, a dedicated classroom and plenty of space to grow! 🧶

“The longer you knit the bigger your mistakes.”

What is your biggest crochet or knit mistake? 🧶

The Yarn Harlot once said, you can recognize a knitter because their hats, scarves and mittens won’t match. I’m fumbling the quote, but the gist sticks with me. We get distracted by the next shiny, new skein/colour/pattern. 🧶

Are you a matchy matchy maker or one who follows their muse?

In knitting and crochet (but also life and business) the loudest voice in the room rarely has the answers. What do we have to change to start hearing the introverts?

If you haven’t made a Woolly Wormhead hat, now is the time!

WW understands hats and heads at an architectural level.
It's been 20 years since I published my first Hat pattern. That's no small thing!

As a thank you for the support, use code 'TwentyYears' on my website, Payhip or Ravelry & get 20% off my digital products (includes the workshops on my website!) Code valid until 29th January midnight Italian time. 🧶

My least favourite Heard in a Yarn Shop quote, “It’s a dying art.” Generally stated by people who do not knit or crochet. I want to show them the generations (plural) of makers who are so damn enthusiastic. It’s not dying.

I need a comeback for them. Other than my glare. Suggestions? 🧶

April makes us all want to master crochet.

She is wearing Lowrider Jumper. Made in striking and sumptuous Malabrigo Arroyo in Matisse Blue.

The pattern, by Iron Lamb, features a raglan increase and the option to add granny squares at the sleeve cuff. 🧶
