In the end, evil Kirk's plan is thwarted, evil Kirk defeated, and sent back to ... another mirror universe. Not his own. There, Spock takes action to fight for a better, more just world. Evil Kirk is sent to ...

This issue is really awesome. Kor here also appears in Byrne's work Romulans: Pawns of War, in the Romulans Schism chapter. (See awesome cover below)
And a much older Kor later appears in #DS9

The plan of evil Kirk is to conspire with the Klingons in the original universe to get revenge on the original Kirk for things he did in the mirror universe. The Klingons agree gladly. Because of the Organism peace treaty, they are not able to attack the Federation directly.

This episode also gives us an awesome conversation between Spock and "evil" Spock who originally rocked a beard, got rid of it to blend in and, in the end, getting it back from Doctor McCoy with some growth medicine science thingy with the explanation that the beard prevents confusion.

In "The Mirror, Cracked" evil Spock comes to our universe to warn Kirk that evil Kirk returned too for revenge. Here, you can see some examples of the photo novel: They used onomatopoeia :-)

I started to read #startrek New Visions. That's a photo novel magazine by John Byrne, where he takes one Star Trek TOS episode and retells or spins it further by using photos from the show to make a comic.
I read #1 "The Mirror, Cracked" which tells what happens after S02E04 "Mirror, Mirror".

A bit late to the party but I got the coolest thing in my comics mail yesterday! Star Trek New Visions by John Byrne. I somehow developed a crush on Byrne's Star Trek works and I love TOS. He's using pictures from TOS episodes to tell another story as a comic. #WeReadsComics

I just defeated Ratnor Rodentson, a #Thor inspired character in Tails of Iron by @oddbugstudio.bsky.social and @unitedlabel.bsky.social omg that was so hard! But now, I have the hammer. What an awesome #indie game!

I'm currently reading Minor Threats by @pattonoswalt.bsky.social et al.
It's about a bunch of D list villains with very interesting powersets who want to find the murderer of a super hero sidekick for various reasons. I love the art, the world building, the characters and the writing. #WeReadsComics

I finished Ten Men Dead by David Beresford. Thanks to @doomcountry.bsky.social for recommending it. It's an impressive book.

This week's Judge #Dredd by Williams & Whyatt, Lynch, Boswell, and Parkhouse in @2000ad.bsky.social is so good. Uhh the implication at the end is quite a cliffhanger. But I want to highlight this panel. The whole thing is very well done but this is beautiful. The mirror is very foreshadowing!

I just watched that episode

Oh reminds me of Vampire Tales (1973). A magazine containimg an excellent review by Chris Claremont of The Vampire: His Kith and Kin by Montague Summers. And they contain some awesome Vampire comics too.

Maybe I find this book, looks interesting. And would look nice next to my Vampire Tales TBPs.

I began the year by reading the excellent comic Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment. I wonder what this year will bring? Triumph or Torment?

Eh that's the same argument Dukat tried to use with Kira in S04E14 of #DS9 #X-Men

This is a gorgeous page by D'Israeli and a great story by Ian Edgington from the Best of #2000AD Volume 6. Judge Dredd - Tempus Fugit.

I use the Graphic label to spoiler tag. It's not graphic or anything, just great.

I currently re-read Hawkeye by Fraction and Aja with a group of people. It's the equivalent of a Christmas movie for me. #WeReadsComis

I also came across something called The Ludocrats #1-5. I don't know if that's any good but the covers are fantastic

I'm re-watching #DS9 and I'm astonished by how good that is. I mean, I enjoyed it as a teen but I only understand now, how good that is. This is from E2S2 The Circle. This scene is like a stage play. Awesome.

I first encountered Blake's Marriage of Heaven and Hell in a quote in #37 of @al-ewing.bsky.social Immortal Hulk, which is an absolutely awesome piece of work.
Here is the beautiful page by Blake which also gives a bit more context to the famous quote.
