The splendid Basilique de Notre-Dame-de-l'Epine, just across the road from the equally splendid Armes de Champagne hotel and its also-splendid restaurant.

Strongly considering a long weekend back there. For the view. And the food. Especially the cheese.

OK, interesting. Bluesky currently very pleasant, presumably due to lack of right-wing trolls and bots. Presumably, that won’t last, and in that context @skywatch.blue is interesting: curated labels and lists to give you the power to block at the “category” level, not just profile by profile.

Thinking about Trump & Co. sticking their noses into UK affairs [Donald Trump advisor warns UK to prioritise US above 'socialist' European Union, London Evening Standard & others], and it occurs to me that Love Actually might have been casually predicting the future. #loveactually #badrelationship

This X account has been given a grey checkmark, verifying it as an official government account.

It also only accepts resumes be DM's, which are solely open to verified X users who pay Elon Musk.

This level of corruption is staggering.

This’ll be useful for those who’ve just hoisted sail here. Like me, for a start.
We’ve put a lot of work into making Bluesky a healthier social network. This app is designed to give you a choice — in what you want to see, what you don’t want to see, and how you want to interact.

Some tips on how to customize your experience:

Two nights, two storming gigs.

Wednesday was the mighty Bellowhead in Oxford, on their 20th anniversary tour. Last night was Le Vent Du Nord, bringing the Quebecois party to Cambridge.

Musicianship and fun right off the charts both nights.
