The thing I’m noticing with big media (KOIN, Oregonian, etc) is that they’re doing a decent job covering the arrests of asylum seekers and of people at immigration court appearances, but not of US citizens, as in the LA times piece, and which @cozca.bsky.social experienced. That’s the reporting that

Shit, this is disheartening. I was researching local bail funds to promote. Thanks for sharing. Do they give “reasons” for not helping, or did they just ignore your requests? (Not asking you to list reasons; just curious if they make excuses or just ghost people)
