A 3D book mockup of the front and back of the unreleased novel "Unlit Matches". It's written by Cal Mooney; the cover art is done by Enoch Duncan. The art is a butterfly and a moth on a tree (but scary). The back cover is a solid color with the text: "MORE COOL STUFF BACK HERE EVENTUALLY... LIKE PROBABLY WHEN THE BOOK IS FINISHED BEING EDITED" and "also this back part will look better than what I did her in CSP (ooh the liquify tool it's so scary guys it's melting sideways)". every time I look into the mirror & can't match the gaze of my own two eyes, I often wonder how people see me vs. how I see myself.

a friend, a stranger, a family member; all people that view me through their own lenses.

I hope one day I can look through my own & find something like they do.

Extra chapters need to be edited too, but weird to think I'll probably end up with a finished book over 100k words. Never thought I'd get this far. Maybe it won't sell, maybe it won't get popular-- but I'll publish it anyway. Life's too short. Do that shit.

Finished up uni work for the week so I'm back to editing. I stare at the word count and feel both accomplished and insanely amazed at fanfic authors churning out 150k+ fics just for fun. As I type this out I realize that I'm also writing this for fun but. You get the idea lol

“Cynthia.” It chokes out the name as blood drips from its mouth, spilling obscenely onto the floor. The sound it produced was sickening to hear, not meant to fall on any listening ears. It couldn’t be qualified as a word– let alone a name. It was torture. It was hatred. The noise of blood splattering onto the ground was relief, it was calm; the antithesis to chaos, and akin to a peaceful evening. It was horrible, but it was a noise meant for this world. Abraham is barely conscious, reeling with another question he’d never have an answer to. Nobody would ever get one. Cynthia’s eyes had widened and stayed that way, her mouth stuck in an open grimace. Her lips twitch before she speaks, as if sounding out the words. As if finding the right thing to say; the best retort or usage of a cheap slur– but there is no right thing to say. There is no answer. “Shoot him.” She says. And they do.
