"content" is a morally neutral word and people need to stop losing their minds about it. skeets are bluesky's content. fics are ao3's content. who cares? if you feel your work devalued when you hear it, you're doing that to yourself.
No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.

mountain carving is obscene and I'm embarrassed of the confederate memorial on Stone Mountain, but the mountain itself is so beautiful and special. I love seeing it on the horizon driving around Atlanta.

I hope they succeed in placing a bell on the summit in honor of MLK's "I have a dream" speech.

You can write a disgusting character without writing as if their weight is part of what makes them disgusting, but if they're the only fat character in your story, maybe don't mention weight. Obv goes for Jabba too.

Other things that helped fanfic cause fascism: the movies Clueless & She's the Man, cover songs that don't perfectly recreate the original, every recipe that's "a twist on" an existing recipe, house rules for Monopoly, that production of Romeo & Juliet where characters are played by heavy equipment

Sealioning is a type of harassment or trolling that involves relentlessly demanding evidence from someone, often on topics that are irrelevant or have already been addressed. The harasser pretends to be sincere and civil, while feigning ignorance of the subject. The term originated from a Wondermark webcomic by David Malki, where a sea lion relentlessly demands a character justify her beliefs.
