Hollywood gone made. The American dream of anyone can achieve anything seems to have missed out the all important ingredient of 'if you are competent'.

I wonder how much of what we are seeing in the US is driven by an overwhelming need for fame and fortune (ego, recognition, applause and adoration). There seems to be a gameshow/ reality tv mentality to all of it. I don't see any serious or competent people, just jesters and cosplayers.

They don't seem able to think beyond the end of their nose and/or what is in their own self interests. The US is essentially a toddler laying on the floor in a shop having a tantrum.

This is precisely how I see it. An ally only if you do what I want. That's a toxic relationship.

They will quit soon.
