Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

Played a lot of the demo, and felt like Monster Hunter Wilds was a slap in the face to longtime fans (and anyone who likes functional games)
But for $25, I'm gonna try find something to enjoy. Maybe it's not a total piece of shit. Maybe.

Been a few years since I've been in the saddle. My chronic foot injury is keeping me from my regular walking exercise, so fuck it, back to unicycling.
Was a bit rusty but it was easier to get started again than I expected. Like riding a bike, I suppose.

Spent a few hours back in Monster Hunter World. It's unfathomable to me how badly they fucked up Wilds - there's not a single thing that World doesn't do better.

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

8 UFO50 games down! I always find more to love as I keep playing. Even with Planet Zoldath which I really didn't think I'd enjoy, I found myself really getting into it as I started to understand.
