OpenAI, in an NPR interview, pretends stealing people's data is like borrowing a library book, and Deepseek stealing their data is never returning a book. Unfortunately for OpenAI, it's the same thing. Tech companies must get consent and pay compensation!

Last year the music industry got 10$ billion. In 2023 the total payout for rights holders was 21€ billion.

This linked source is from 2023, but at the bottom it says that they paid out 21 billion dollars to rights holders. Which is more than twice what they paid to the music industry last year according to Tech Crunch.
