Dogs are better than people. Married mom of 2 teens in WA state. Blue Independent since 2017 until things shift or normalize.
I can and will vote.

I'd like to say I'm not chronically online, but I doom scroll here... a lot.

Stay sane folks. For me, its dogs and nature. Edibles and sex make the list too, but not sharing those.

16 seconds of Lewis River Upper Falls. Lovely 3.5 mile hike outside today.

Lewis River Falls today.

Too late for the coffee shop 3 miles from my house.

We drove down the gorge to try and outpace the clouds. A hint of Northern Lights through the clouds.

15 points would make it a battle, but in 2024 the Republican won by 21 points.

I guess I don't know about turnout, so never say never.

I didn't realize gender was added in 1972, when women were "allowed" to travel without a male chaperone.

We should remove it all together.

I've seen a few reputable folks posting.

1 initiative, 3 charter review board positions, 3 school board positions, and an unopposed fire chief. 4 ballots submitted from my household. Proud of our college students.

I live in a ridiculously beautiful place. Tamawanas Falls is about an hour east of Portland Oregon on the other side of Mt Hood.

Wonder why I woke up thinking about this?

Rainy trick or treat view. Got a tent in the driveway because my dogs hate the doorbell. Hershey bars are always the first ones gone.

Cedar Creek Grist Mill in Etna Washington. Happy Halloween.

Our plan is to build the house we'll retire in sometime between 2033 and 2038, when we're in our mid 50s. We bought the property in 2014, paid it off in 2020, and need to get our 2 kids (13 and 18) through college first.

I have a Pinterest board with 300 images for inspiration. A lot of it is AI.

I know that for every meal provided by a food pantry, SNAP provides 9. My plan is to pick a different local food bank each week during these terrible times.

I think someone was providing cat photos for donations. I love that idea.

These are from 10/17. We saw a lot of meteors, but none were captured on my husband's 8 minute exposure shots. He was pointed at Polaris, and a few were just out of frame, or during the camera processing time.

My 18 year old is the driver of tradition. We didn't make it to a pumpkin patch or carve pumpkins with them at college. My 13 year old is indifferent.

Im excited to not have to "Pinterest mom" anymore, and yet I couldn't pass up eyeball gummies. Happy Halloween week.

We saw some on 10/17. Here's our yurt-cabin on a different star gazing night, I didn't take pictures this time (chilly).

Glad our signs from 6 months ago will see more action tomorrow.

I know times are crazy, and we're chronically on Bluesky to keep up with the chaos of the regime. But these 2 idiots running joyously after I feed them dinner, and then sitting for their after outside treat brings a smile to my face each day.

My husband and college kid riding 3 miles from the dorm to Burgerville. College kid transferred stores to one closer to campus, and their first shift is tomorrow. Likely, the Burgerville Noem got lunch from earlier today, as ICE is about 2 more miles away. Portland will rise from the ashes.

I like some variety in my water intake, so 1 of my 8 glasses a day during the work week is flavored water. Grocery store sells these for $2, with usually a once a month sale at $1.50. Amazon was close to the sale price... until this month.

I like some variety in my 8 cups of water, so I've been drinking about 5 of these a week for a few years. Usually $2 at the grocery store, sales of $1.50 are pretty common.

Amazon was consistently close to the sale price (12 for $18.99) until this month.

Here is what West Hollywood posted when they were hit with questions. Perhaps an ordinance update will help in the future?
