The grind spread out across multiple different progression trees is one of the reasons I ended up dropping it.

This entire thing had me feeling so angry, at valve, at level 5, and at myself for spreading hype for the game to friends. I'm happy that I don't think anyone bought it based on my excitement, but it was embarrassing having to make the rounds to warn my friends.

In my message, I included links to articles about level 5 using gen ai, as well as linking and quoting their ai tos. Steam still did the whole "Well you're not eligible, but as a show of customer service we'll add the money to your steam wallet" but fuckin whatever, I got my money back.

I did everything I could think of, and still nothing. I've been robbed of $70 all because the worthless shit heads at Valve refuse to enforce their own rules.

I got declined on my first refund attempt, and I'm waiting on a response from my second. I'll let you know if they ever give me my money back

My guess would be because "in development" is able to be argued, or no one involved actually cares enough to do anything about it

Steam does require disclosure if it was used during development, not only if it's in the final product. What's considered "development" could be argued, I guess, but it still seems shaky at best
