I've been rewatching Matt Smith's run in Doctor Who.
Goddamn, that's good sci fi.
Smith might be my fave Doctor of the revived series. I REALLY liked Capaldi, but Smith tops him simply because of this scene.
I love the writing AND the performance; he's so upset that he got angry.

btw,i was also pleasantly surprised to find that a movie set entirely in a single room, whose "plot" is the interaction between disparate characters, has captivated audiences since 1957. i really indulge in dialogue myself but know it's not everyone's thing. it's good to be reminded that's in demand

saw 12 angry men for the first time this morning on recommendation from a friend. i liked it. the jurors and their inner lives and interactions is of course the point of the story, but ruminating on the abrupt about-face of the final juror has me landing on the idea the kid is guilty but justified
