#7 Your goal

You have to think about the end goal. It’s not to convert reviews. It's to help a person who paid with their money for your game. If they change their review to positive - that’s amazing, but it’s just a side effect. Don't aggressive when asking people to reconsider their review

#6 Direct contact

This one works the best for me. There are a lot of scams going on on Steam so make sure that your account is branded, has a high level and if possible - leave a comment on the user’s profile before sending the invite.

#5 Review reporting

Use this as a complete last resort, Some reviews are off-topic, or full of insults, You can report them to get them removed. It’s up to Steam if they remove those, but still - do not overuse this option, criticism is still a criticism, even if someone used a lot of swear words.

#4 Steam Developer Reply
You can use this to reply to any comment. Players be notified via email about your reply. It’s a good first step to notify the user that you’re sending them an invite or tell them about a fix.

Now please note that these are methods that mostly worked for me while working on Dying Light and Dying Light 2 + some indie projects. I'll be more than happy to hear your thoughts as well :) I do include my tips at the end, so if you know what to do on Steam feel free to check it out

My first tweet was probably some dumb post, so why not make something more useful here?
