Last weekend our students Ari Kaye, Joseph Meyer, Hunter Clark, and Dylan Mendoza presented their research at the annual Colorado Space Grant Science Symposium. All did a great and Meyer won Best Research Poster; the UNC Department of Physics and Astronomy has now won that 8 of the last 11 years!

In addition to learning new physics that will help our department increase student research opportunities, Drs. Singletary and Engstrom took some time to learn about chicken and waffles.

Undergraduate student Joe Meyer has been working with Professor Matt Semak on developing methods of removing noise from ECG signals. This work could potentially improve the ability to diagnose cardiovascular issues. #physics
