Since being laid off in March 2024 I’ve mostly been stitching together part-time teaching and freelance production & post work. This year I also decided to start volunteering time at the Zoo, which has been great. I get to engage with people on something not media related and see the animals.

The text of an Am I The Asshole Post titled AITA for convincing my husband to kill the king? I (F 35) and My Husband (M 40) have been serving the king (M39) for many years, and Recently my husband got a prophecy from a room of three witches describing him as King. Now, as a good, loyal wife I want to support him in any way I can, so even though the prophecy is supposed to happen anyway, when he wants to speed up this prophecy by doing the masculine thing and taking charge by killing the king, obviously, as a good wife, I help and support him. This is where my problem starts. On the day the king was going to stay in our home, my clay-brained husband got cold feet and started overthinking everything. He started saying things like, "well King Duncan is a good guy and he seems to like me!1!1!!" | know; however, that this is the insecurity talking. I act accordingly and call him what he is: a blubbering fool who has no courage, dignity, or ambition. We end up killing king Duncan, but my pea-brained, whimpering fool, shell of a man husband's cowardice strikes again and I end up needing to do the dirty work. He ends up leaving me unsatisfied like always. No balls. I am pretty sure that what I did was, while morally questionable, what had to be done to allow me to live out the life I deserve to live. Some of the people around me have started to tell me that my actions were "not justifiable in any context" and that I am a "selfish, sick, and psychotic excuse for a human being," but I don't really think what I did was that bad. Am I the asshole?
